My Story
Mickie Williams is a dedicated waterman with a lifelong connection to the ocean.
A multidisciplinary ocean athlete, Hip Hop artist, Dj, photographer and self-published author, Mickie has spent years in the water exploring different ways to ride, understand and respect the sea.
Starting in bodyboarding, his first trip to Hawai‘i opened the door to new surf crafts — from twin fins to finless, longboards, SUP and foiling. That curiosity led him across some of the world’s most beautiful and powerful coastlines — Hawai‘i, Samoa, Tonga, the Cook Islands, Australia and Indonesia — learning not just how to ride waves, but how to read the ocean at all times.
With this experience came a deep respect for safety, awareness and the importance of guiding others in the water the right way.
Now based in Waihi Beach, Mickie brings his ocean knowledge into a SUP and kayak business focused on confidence, connection and enjoying the ocean and surrounding waterways — safely.
Whether it’s your first time on a SUP board or you’re looking to push your skills further, Mickie creates an environment where people feel supported and inspired.
